Tucked on a cobblestone corner in historic Fitler Square, this early-1800s brick town house was completely rebuilt behind its original walls to create a bright, modern home for a young family. A new steel-and-glass kitchen solarium and rear addition bring light deep into the narrow 15-foot-wide footprint while making room for a hardworking mudroom and powder room at the alley entrance. Throughout the house, white oak built-ins, reclaimed heart pine floors, and exposed brick honor the original character—maximizing storage and circulation on every level while preserving the integrity of the historic shell. Up top, a vaulted primary suite with skylights, custom millwork, a generous bath, and steam shower turns the once-cramped third floor into a calm retreat above the city.
